when I was around 7 or 8 years old, i discovered special features on dvds (remember those??). behind the scenes, the cast and crew goofed around, actors donned their costumes and make-up, and sets were built. life on a movie set seemed extra special. basically, people were hanging out, making something together, and having a great time doing it.
i think this is what inspires me to film weddings: they are a curious combination of big and cinematic, intimate and real, goofy and moving. they present an opportunity to document larger-than-life milestones and behind-the-scenes moments. the real life stuff mixed with the magic.
Disco Cake rolls the film and the special features into one. your ceremony might be the main ingredient, but the flavor of your wedding is derived from something else: the goofing around, the getting ready and getting down, memories and lives together being built.

What do you film?
We film weddings and other celebratory events. If there's dancing, we want in. Spinning vinyl in a speakeasy? Throwing a themed birthday party? Send us an invite!
Where do you film?
We are based in Massachusetts, but we'll go just about anywhere for the right party! We have easy flat-rate travel fees depending on how far you are from us.
Can I choose the music?
Unless your film involves live audio (like a DJ set), the short answer is no: licensing well-known songs costs big bucks! We subscribe to a service with literally endless music options that are licensed and ready for use. Send us 10 to 15 of your favorite songs and Zoe will find music that perfectly matches your taste.
How do I book you?
Fill out our contact form or send us an email – we'll set up a Zoom call or coffee date so we can get to know you! Once you've agreed to our proposal, we will send you a link to sign our contract and make a 30% nonrefundable deposit. Once that's done, your date is booked!
Do you offer drone footage?
We do not. We're all about capturing the creative details and fleeting moments, and we would rather be focusing on you.
How do you protect my footage?
Some moments are truly irreplaceable. That's why we always shoot to two SD cards on each camera, and as soon as we get home we backup this footage to three external hard drives. Don't worry, your footage is safe with us!
