In the depths of a global pandemic, we bonded over a shared love of old records, very silly dance moves, and the need to make art ...

Five years later and we haven't changed much.

Except now we make films too!

For us, Disco Cake isn't just a business. It's a creative calling and a template for the life we want to build: meeting new people, traveling, and documenting celebration, community, and love.

why the name

we chose Disco cake because it invokes two of our favorite things (catchy tunes and dessert) and captures the spirit of our films (groovy and sweet).

fun facts

zoe has lived in bangladesh, italy, and ireland. she speaks italian, loves drawing and photography, and makes a mean sandwich. gevork originally hails from england, and since moving to america he's lived on both coasts. he also owns his own business (bonus points if you can guess what), is a musician and dj, and can build us a house when the sh*t hits the fan.

What do you film?

We film weddings and other celebratory events. If there's dancing, we want in. Spinning vinyl in a speakeasy? Throwing a themed birthday party? Send us an invite!

Where do you film?

We are based in Massachusetts, but we'll go just about anywhere for the right party! We have easy flat-rate travel fees depending on how far you are from us.

Can I choose the music?

Unless your film involves live audio (like a DJ set), the short answer is no: licensing well-known songs costs big bucks! We subscribe to a service with literally endless music options that are licensed and ready for use. Send us 10 to 15 of your favorite songs and Zoe will find music that perfectly matches your taste.

How do I book you?

Fill out our contact form or send us an email – we'll set up a Zoom call or coffee date so we can get to know you! Once you've agreed to our proposal, we will send you a link to sign our contract and make a 30% nonrefundable deposit. Once that's done, your date is booked!

Do you offer drone footage?

We do not. We're all about capturing the creative details and fleeting moments, and we would rather be focusing on you.

How do you protect my footage?

Some moments are truly irreplaceable. That's why we always shoot to two SD cards on each camera, and as soon as we get home we backup this footage to three external hard drives. Don't worry, your footage is safe with us!
